Senior/Principal Software Engineer (DataKitchen, Inc., Lexington, MA): As a member of the DataKitchen product development team, you will contribute to the development roadmap for our DataOps products, take on complex architectural challenges, and collaborate with company founders and stakeholders to innovate on features that directly impact our customers. You will also take charge of reliability and scalability efforts, research and design technical solutions in a forward-looking manner, and contribute to our agile development process.
Specific duties include: Developing and architecting product features on our web-based DataOps products. Support sales through Proof of Value projects. Work with company founders and customers. Enhance the scalability and reliability of the products. Contribute to our continuously improving Agile development process. Demonstrate top technical skills, excellent attention to detail and follow-up, and the ability to self-manage. Telecommuting permitted.
Minimum requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, (Employer will accept 3 or 4 year degree) plus 2 years of experience in web application development and software architecture.
Must have: 2 years of experience using Python programming language. 2 years of experience with MySQL or PostgreSQL databases. 2 years of experience with JavaScript and HTML. 2 years of experience deploying Docker container-based applications. 2 years of experience maintaining cloud infrastructure on AWS. Unit test development experience. Experience with continuous integration.
