DataKitchen’s Story
DataKitchen’s mission is to provide the software, service, and knowledge that makes it possible for every data and analytics team to realize their full potential with DataOps.
In the early 2000s, Chris Bergh, Gil Benghiat, and Eric Estabrooks worked at a small company that offered a full suite of services related to data analytics. Because of the inherent complexity of data pipelines, they found that their teams were constantly challenged and frustrated by their inability to create innovative analytics, reduce embarrassing errors, and try new ideas. They believed there had to be a better way.
They found their answer by studying the software and manufacturing industries, which had struggled with these issues for decades. By applying the tools and methodologies from those industries, DataOps was born. The threesome decided to build their own DataOps software and start a company. Today, DataKitchen and the DataKitchen Observability, TestGen, and Automation software ensure that data professionals across the spectrum no longer feel frustrated and powerless by failed or painfully-slow projects but are energized and excited by their ability to deliver high-quality, on-demand insight.
Datakitchen’s goal is to enable data and analytic teams to deliver insight to their customers with no errors and a high rate of change. The DataKitchen founders want data teams to have less stress and embarrassment and more time to create new insights. Teams can’t focus on delivering customer value without granular visibility into potential problems. The DataKitchen dream is for data teams to quickly observe, test, and automate those problems so they never happen again.
